I love my toms, but who doesn't! I received my first pair for my birthday last May, and I am hooked! (Of course Libby has had them for several years and gone through several pairs lol). I couldn't help take a picture of mine while shopping because look at the AMAZINGLY, AWESOME plaid carpet! I LOOOVE IT. Stripe overload :).

Apple Dip
I love this dip for two reason. 1) it is always a crowd favorite, and
2) it has three ingredients. Seriously. Soooo Good. Plus, who doesn't
like a dip that has cream cheese in it! I made this for a little nursing gal 'dip night.'
Ingredients include:
-1 block of softened cream cheese
-1 cup (packed) brown sugar
-1 tsp of vanilla
Mix until creamy, and this can take a little awhile!
Serve with green apples! If you do this ahead of time, don't forget the lemon
juice to make sure your apples don't turn brown!

my canon and I
GAHHHH! I love the first snow :). My canon does too...
it told me... We found a sweet little spot near a lake this
last fall, and it is just as pretty in the winter.
I think the picture above is my favorite, the tree branches were all
dipping down into the frozen stream. So pretty.

Breaking Dawn Part 1
Well, we finally saw it. Possible spoilers ahead... Libby and I have both read all the books (which are better than the movies), don't be haters :). The movie was good-mediocre. The birth scene was not for me though... Some of my favorite parts included the wedding scenes, and the imprinting scene. BUT my favorite, favorite part of the movie was the MUSIC. The soundtrack was one of the best I have heard in awhile. I even had a part in the movie where I had to lean to libby and have her 'shazam' a song. We were unsuccessful. However, when we got back to my house we used spotify and found the soundtrack. :) YAY. Some of my favorites...

Gift
One of my nursing friends made this cute little wallet. She brought probably
15-20 to give out. What a nice little surprise and put a smile on my face. Someday,
when I get a sewing machine I want to make these. Adorable. :)
Garden Rock
Psalm 18:2
I made this for my mom to put in her garden. She's
making a 'secret garden' as she puts it and it will
fit right in. I love this color of rock, and found
a couple at our cabin last August. Now to be inspired
for the other one I have... Note to self painting
on uneven surfaces is hard when doing letters. :)

Painting with Moose
I decided it was time to get my favorite little guy in on the craft action! For this you will need non-toxic paint, dog treats, canvas/paper, and newspaper. I had previously painted a generic painting with a bubble like appearance for us to use.
I then painted his front two paws with the black paint. (I had to reapply several times.) I then asked him to walk over the painting. We did this in an enclosed room in our unfinished basement because it was too cold outside.
As you can see a lot of the paint ended up of the floor instead of the painting hehe.
My favorite print ended up on the floor. :). I probably won't wash the prints
off because they're adorable!
Here is our finished product!

Estate Sale
Have we mentioned how much we LOVE garage/estate sales and auctions! hehe! Well, Jared and I got up at 7:00am, grabbed coffee and headed off to the 7:30 sale. We were there when it started, with a crowd already waiting. I found an awesome large blue Ball jar, Budweiser box, and a washing board. All for the wonderful price of $10! (I would have paid $15-20 for the box alone!) I call it a success!

winter hat orders
This is for 6month old Avery :).
This is Lindsey's order for her pregnant friends. I love the way
the black and hot pink hat turned out (good idea Lindsey!)
This is Kelly's order for her prengnant friends. I tried something new
with the purple hat's flower. I think it's adorable!
This order was for a pair of peacock hats for sisters. The top one is
for a five year old the bottom is for a four month old.

photos from NE cabin
One of the first weekends in fall, my parents, husband and I went to our cabin. It brought back so many childhood memories to see the morning fog over the lake. I love it! Nothing beats a morning sunrise over the lake. I didn't have my canon this trip, but my dad had his so he let me borrow it to get my photography fix. Hope you enjoy my three favorites of the trip!

!New Camera!
Well Jared and I made it to Minnesota one last time this summer! It was a great getaway and it was nice to be just the two of us. On the way up, I found a new black bag in the back seat of the car, tags still attached. Not a black bag of mine. I thought Jared had went out and bought the expensive fish finder he has been wanting... He then told me to open the bag... guess what it was... a Canon EOS 60D DSLR! (I have been wanting a DSLR since May). I have the best husband EVER! The pic below is my camera minus the lens. Mine is slightly different.
I then spent the rest of trip playing with the camera and trying to spoil my husband! Of course I have some awesome shots from our trip to share with you! Hope you enjoy, and the pics of my crafts should also GREATLY improve!!!
More to come, I promise!

Wedding Gift 2
I also first saw this idea as a pin on pinterest.com (I love that website and it gives craft inspiration!). What a great way to make your gift stand out!
Supplies for this project include:
Glass item to etch
Paint brushes
Xacto knife
Contact Paper
Armour Etch
Rubber Gloves
I bought a glass pitcher to monogram for this project. After a glass object is found, look for a font, pattern, or object you want to etch on your glass. Remember the more complicated the harder it will be to cut out of the contact paper. I found a great B using Microsoft Word. Once you find a font you like, print it out and trace onto the contact paper (see below). One could also use the outline of scrapbook lettering.

Remember the more complicated the harder it will be to cut out of the contact paper. I found a great B using Microsoft Word. Once you find a font you like, print it out and trace onto the contact paper (see below). One could also use the outline of scrapbook lettering.
While tracing the B, ensure it is backwards so that it appears the right way when etching. I used my kitchen window and natural light to trace the B. (I don't have a light table).
After traced, I cut the B out with my Xacto knife. The knife is sharp BE CAREFUL :).
Peel the back of the contact paper off and place the letter (or other object) on your glass object.
Ensure the edges are sealed down.
I bought separate paint brushes for this project due to the chemical in the Armour Etch. I then painted in the armour etch and filled in all areas of the B. Wear gloves when using the product to ensure you don't burn your hands accidentally. Let the product sit on the glass for at least five minutes. Then rinse off the Armour Etch under the sink (while wearing gloves)
Here is my finished product! I love it and I think it will make a great wedding gift!
